Paulo Sibaja is a national expert in Latino relations. Having worked with presidential, senatorial, and congressional political campaigns, national and international nonprofits, businesses small and large, as well as top media outlets, Paulo is called upon for his insightful and practical approach to engaging America's U.S. Latinos. As the President of P.S. Marketing, Paulo helps top leaders, organizations, and companies bridge the understanding gap.
Paulo has been quoted in the LA Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, and others, and has been published in the Orange County Register and other online publications. He has appeared multiple times on different radio and television stations across the country. He delivers a powerful message in Spanish too, having been on Univision's "Al Punto con Jorge Ramos." Paulo has extensively traveled the United States as a speaker, he has addressed crowds as large as 10,000.
People have called Paulo a fresh, authentic leader committed to delivering effective and efficient solutions, especially to underserved communities. Born in Costa Rica, Paulo’s family moved to the United States when he was nine to seek the opportunities only this country could offer. When he moved to the United States he knew this was the place where he wanted to build a life of purpose. He fell in love with the diverse, hardworking communities that make up this country.
Paulo’s experiences early in his career have given him a unique outlook. As a substitute teacher he saw firsthand how limiting choice and control for parents, students, and teachers prevents our education system from equipping the next generation with the skills they need to succeed. As an entrepreneur, he witnessed the 2008 financial crisis and how Washington’s bureaucratic, special interest-dominated approach came up so short when the challenges for real American families were so large. Paulo believes our leaders can and must do better.
His career since has been dedicated to growing and empowering small businesses and advancing common sense solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of hardworking families everywhere. He has been honored by The Weekly Standard and the Washington Examiner’s Red Alert Politics as one of the most influential millennial leaders in America.
Fulfilling his early calling to public service, Paulo worked as Legislative Director for Assemblyman Brian Nestande. He served as the legislator’s top public policy advocate and representative. Paulo also worked for Senator Jim Nielsen, serving as his point person managing spending priorities in a $65 billion budget that oversaw education. Paulo was honored to see the Governor sign two bills he worked on extensively during his service as a legislative aide. It reaffirmed his belief that leaders who have the courage to put politics aside – and put the people and communities they serve first – can get things done.
As a business owner, ambassador to America’s diverse communities, and a civic-minded citizen, Paulo is driven to serve and improve his community. He does not shy away from telling his neighbors the truth while simultaneously listening and learning from any and every concerned citizen to build bridges across our communities.
Paulo was the Colorado Deputy State Director as well as the Colorado Strategic Hispanic Initiatives Director for the Republican National Committee (RNC). He was the Chairman for Latino National Republican Coalition (NRC)-Colorado and a Hispanic Advisory Board member for the Colorado Republican Party.
Previously, Paulo was the Director of Coalitions for the Leadership Institute (LI), one of the nation’s premier organizations responsible for training activists, students, and leaders. In 2012, Paulo was Deputy Coalitions Director in Colorado for Mitt Romney for President and State Director of Hispanic Outreach-New Mexico, for the RNC. His main priority was to connect the candidate and the Republican Party to key demographics, including Hispanics.
As a leader, he believes that too few people with diverse backgrounds understand how to work to improve the lives for every person who’s willing to work hard and play by the rules.
Paulo believes everyone deserves a voice, that is why he serves on the national Advisory Committee of the United States Senate Task Force on Community Affairs.
