Paulo Sibaja is America’s emerging keynote speaker and workplace conflict expert. As an expert speaker, Paulo has committed his time to helping company, association, and non-profit executives and leaders resolve as well as reduce and prevent conflict in the workplace. Named one of the most influential leaders of his generation by two national publications, Paulo dedicated years to working, understanding, and studying conflict which led him to the 4-3-2-1 LEAD Formula; a distinctive and effective training tool that helps leaders sharpen the necessary skills to command any conflict at work, confidently.
Paulo keynotes conferences, speaks at leadership retreats, instructs through workshops, and resolves problems through consultations.
Having worked with presidential, senatorial, and congressional political campaigns, national and international nonprofits, businesses small and large, as well as top media outlets, Paulo was previously called upon for his insightful and practical approach to engaging America's emerging market. As the President of P.S. Media & Marketing, a branding, macro-marketing, and public relations firm, Paulo helped leaders, organizations, and companies connect their product or service with the intended consumer. Working in macro-marketing and public relations solidified Paulo's understanding in his field of expertise, workplace conflict.
People have called Paulo a fresh, authentic leader committed to delivering effective and efficient solutions to leaders across the U.S. Born in Costa Rica, Paulo’s family moved to the United States when he was nine to seek the opportunities only this nation could offer. When he moved to the United States he knew this was the place where he wanted to build a life of purpose. He fell in love with the diverse, hardworking communities that make up America.
Paulo’s experiences early in his career have given him a unique outlook. As a substitute teacher he saw firsthand how the conflict between the federal government, state government, school boards, school administrators, teachers, parents, and students prevented our education system from equipping the next generation with the skills they need to succeed. As an entrepreneur, he witnessed the 2008 financial crisis and how Washington’s approach came up so short when the challenges for Americans were so large. Paulo believes our leaders can and must do better.
Fulfilling his early calling to public service, Paulo worked as Legislative Director for Assemblyman Brian Nestande. He served as the legislator’s top public policy advocate and representative. Paulo also worked for Senator Jim Nielsen, serving as his point person managing spending priorities in a $65 billion budget that oversaw education. Paulo was honored to see the Governor sign two bills he worked on extensively during his service as a legislative aide. It reaffirmed his belief that leaders who have the courage to put conflict aside – and put the people and communities they serve first – can get things done. Although Paulo has long left politics, he took with him priceless lessons from two conflict-rich industries, politics and public policy.
As an entrepreneur, ambassador to America’s diverse communities, and a civic-minded citizen, Paulo is driven to help and improve his community. As a leader, Paulo embraces his purpose to empower others to overcome conflict. Because he believes in helping others, he served on the national Advisory Committee of the United States Senate Task Force on Community Affairs.
